Title: You Are The Light Of The World
Text: Matthew 5:14-16
14 “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and ogive glory to your Father who is in heaven.

1. Light sustains life on earth. (v14)
a. Sin & darkness fill our world because Satan has blinded us. 2 Cor. 4:4-6; 1 John 5:19-20.
b. God has revealed Jesus by His grace.
c. Don’t conform to this world because our home is in heaven.
d. Jesus is the light of the world: John 8:12; 1 John 5-7.
e. Christians should proclaim Jesus as savior and walk in the light: John 3:16-21.
2. Jesus gives a clear example of how lamps are to be used (v15)
a. Let our light shine before others.
b. We are transformed in Christ; we are different: Eph. 5:7-11; Phil.2:15
c. Give glory to God for your fruit of the spirit.
